Volkswagen Recalls Golf Wagon to Fix Overheating Fuse Boxes

Jun 16, 2016

Summary
Faulty fuse could lead to lighting failure

Volkswagen Canada and Transport Canada have issued a recall to address overheating fuse boxes in some Golf station wagon models.

In 10,200 of the wagons sold as 2010 and 2011 models, a fuse directing power to some of the car's exterior lights can overheat and damage the fuse box, and lead to the loss of those lighting functions, potentially reducing visibility and increasing the chances of a collision.

VW is asking its dealers to replace the fuse in question with one of an updated design.
