Pennzoil Takes a Joyride to the Rocky Mountains

Sep 16, 2016

Summary
More ice drifting videos is always a good thing

Driving on ice is always cool. And we don't mean just literally. The winter environment is always harsh, forbidding, and allows for some truly epic slides. So if you want to show off how your product performs in extreme conditions, the harsh Canadian winter is a good choice. Plus when you've already been to Baha in a Jeep Wrangler, on a secret circuit in a Ferrari 488 GTB, and tearing up city streets in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, winter is the next logical choice.

Which is why the latest installment of Pennzoil's JOYRIDE series takes place high in the Kananaskis Range, at up to 3,000 m and -24-degrees C. The unnamed driver toggles the starter of the BMW M6 and takes off, flying across icy lakes and drifting through snowbanks at speeds nearing 300 km/h. At least, the character is unnamed; Rhys Millen is handling the behind-the-wheel duties.

Of course, since they're producing the video, everything is thoroughly lubricated with Pennzoil Pure Plus technology oil. Well, everything except for the sled dogs.
