Ford Launches Raptor Off-Road Driving School

Jan 23, 2017

Summary
Go off-road, hardcore style

Ford F-150 Raptor owners tired of fantasizing about simply driving over other vehicles to get to work more quickly will have a chance later this year to learn how to properly use their trucks' off-road capabilities in the manufacturer's latest performance driving clinic.

Appropriately named Raptor Assault, the free course takes place at the Ford Performance Racing School, near Salt Lake City, Utah, and will provide "full immersion into the performance and handling characteristics of the F-150 Raptor" both in a classroom setting, and in the driver's seat of trucks provided by the school.

The Raptor Assault program is only open to Raptor owners who bought their trucks within a year of the registration date in the school, which runs from April through September of this year. The catch? Registration may be free along with your purchase of one of these nearly $70,000 trucks, but you have to arrange your own travel to, and accommodations in, Utah.

This isn't Ford's first performance driving school: the company has done clinics for owners of Fiesta and Focus ST models, the Focus RS and the Shelby GT350.
