Infiniti Wants to Give One Canadian Engineering Student Their Dream Job

The world's coolest work term

Countless young car enthusiasts dream of becoming engineers and designing desirable cars like the 2017 Infiniti Q60 or work with a Formula One team to build a car that will challenge for the checkered flag at race circuits around the world.

Luxury car brand Infiniti wants to give one Canadian engineering student just such an opportunity through its engineering academy, which runs for the fourth consecutive year in 2017, and only the second time in Canada.

Until May 20, 2017, Infiniti is accepting applications from Canadian university engineering students through a process that begins with an online engineering test. The applicants with the top 10 scores will then travel to Montreal for a final event from which one winner will be chosen to join students from six other regions to move to the UK for a year-long stint working on the technologies that will go into future Infiniti road cars and Renault Sport Formula One race cars.

Besides the chance to work with the manufacturer's engineering team, Infiniti says the position includes work-related travel, a salary, accommodation and access to an Infiniti company car. Last year, Felix Lamy was the first Canadian contestant, out of a group of some of the country's brightest young engineers.
