Harley-Davidson Issues Recall for Oil Leak Risk

Jun 8, 2017

Summary
Skid risk alert

Harley-Davidson has recalled more than 2,900 motorcycles to fix oil line clamps that could come loose and spray oil onto the rear tire.

Entertaining though such a feature could be, Transport Canada points out that the resulting loss of rear-wheel traction could cause serious injury or death to the rider. As a precaution, Harley will inspect the clamps connecting the lines to the bike's oil cooler and reposition or replace them as necessary.

This recall affects 2017 versions of the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic and Police models; Police Road King; Road Glide and Road Glide Special; Road King and Road King Special; and Street Glide and Street Glide Special.
