Subaru Canada has just announced help for any aspiring rally drivers. They're offering an all-new rebate program to give competitors a break on the purchase of a new rally car.

The Subaru Canada Rally Car Purchase Rebate Program is to help current and aspiring rally drivers get into a new vehicle. It gives Canadian Rally Championship participants up to $10,000 off of a 2017 or newer Subaru.

There are a few conditions. Like you need to have a valid Canadian Rally Championship license. And you actually need to turn the car into a rally car. They'll check. That means you need to have the car fitted with a roll cage and get it prepared to rally specs. Subaru needs your official Log Book to show the car is eligible. There is a limit on the number of cars eligible, so they suggest you get pre-approval.

It's a Canada-only program, so US cars need not apply. And we probably don't have to mention this, but making your new car a rally car voids the warranty.

Subaru is also offering payouts to the top six Subaru finishers in every national CRC event. Finish in the top six overall and they'll pay out more. They'll even give you $250 just for starting the rally.

The 2018 Canadian Rally Championship starts February 2nd with the Rallye Perce Neige, in Maniwaki, QC. There are seven events in total, with the season wrapping up December 7th at the Big White Winter Rally in Kelowna, BC.
