F-150 Limited Gets Raptor Power for 2019

Summary
F-150 powers up

Ford's F-150 Limited is getting a little more ferocious for 2019. The high-lux truck adds the Raptor's high-output V6 under the hood.

Previously, the most powerful engine in the F-150 was the 375 hp 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. Unless you stepped up to the desert-blasting Raptor, that is. The dirt-slinging version got a high-output engine that made 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. Now the more powerful engine is going into the Limited to create what Ford says is the most powerful light-duty pickup around. Showing off that new engine, the Limited has a new dual-exhaust with the tips integrated into the bumper.

On the inside, the Limited gets some more luxury to go with the shove. There's a new two-tone camelback soft-touch leather covering for the seats. The multicontour seats offer Active Motion lumbar support and a massage feature. They're heated and ventilated too. There is real ash-swirl wood trim, aluminum-wrapped bezels and more special detailing like the suede headliner. Plus, a laser-etched plaque to tell you that you're in a special truck.

The F-150 Limited adds all of Ford's tech features too. Like a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist with emergency braking, a 4G LTE hotspot, and optional pro trailer back-up assist.

Expect the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited to arrive at dealers later this year.
