Squadra Corse Reveals One-Off Carbon Fibre Monster Lamborghini

Lamborghini's racing arm Lamborghini Squadra Corse has just revealed its very first one-off car built for a customer. It gets an aero package shared nowhere else and even more power from the 6.5L V12.

The SC 18 Alston is carbon fibre-heavy. Make that heavy on the carbon and presumedly light on the scale. Squadra Corse says it's lighter, but not exactly how much. The entire body is carbon fibre, but that's not the extent of the changes that are designed to show off the customization options via Centro Stile Lamborghini

The entire car gets an extreme aerodynamic makeover that's derived from the team's racing experience. The front hood has Huracan GT3 Evo-like air intakes, the sides and rear fenders, plus the fins, are inspired by the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo. There's a massive carbon fibre rear wing that has three mechanical adjustments to let you dial up your downforce or balance, and a whopping 12 air intakes on the rear hood to help keep that big V12 cool. The screen-printed red detailing makes sure you don't mistake it for any standard Aventador.

That big 6.5L V12 makes 770 hp at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft of torque at 6,750. That sounds like the same figure as the Aventador SVJ, but Lamborghini labels that one as 770 CV and this one as 770 hp. That doesn't look like much, but it's an 11 hp difference. Ok, maybe it's not a massive gain, but it's there nonetheless. the car has special exhausts and finishers with a special design and sound.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse says that the car is "road approved," though we're not exactly sure in what market. But that's not the point. This one is designed for the track. Where those Italian horses can be exercised and the fancy aerodynamics really show off.
