Devel Sixteen Coming to Toronto Auto Show
There's a new supercar coming to Toronto next month. The Devel Sixteen will make its North American debut at the Canadian International Auto Show.
Devel Motors is a startup automaker started by three brothers from Dubai with big plans.
While there's a "base" V8 option that doesn't yet have a power figure attached, the V16 (hence the name) powered supercar is apparently good for 3,000 hp. A range-topping version is set to make 5,007 hp.
It sounds almost too outrageous to be true, but there may be something to go with it. The company is said to have engineer Paolo Garella onboard. He's the former boss of Pininfarina's one-off division and he's also the one who designed cars for Scuderia Glickenhaus.
The Sixteen has been shown off in Dubai and in Paris, but never on this side of the pond. It will be the feature of the Auto Exotica portion of the show. Co-founder Majid Al Attar will be a guest speaker at a special ‘Luxury and Supercar Forum.’
“The Devel Sixteen is catching eyes around the world, including those of Toronto’s hip hop megastar Drake,” said Al Attar, “We are looking forward to bringing the Devel Sixteen to Toronto as we get ready to put the car into production later this year.”
It's an extreme car with an extreme engine that's definitely going to catch some eyes, of course we'd rather get the chance to get behind the wheel.
