Jeep Adds Willys to the 2021 Gladiator Family

Oct 30, 2020

Summary
Gladiator spawns Willys package

The Jeep brand announced today it is growing the Gladiator family with the addition of a Willys package for 2021.

The Jeep Gladiator Willys builds on the truck’s entry-level Sport S trim level and adds a limited-slip differential, rock rails and 32-inch all-terrain tires.

Gladiator Willys models also get some cosmetic additions in hood and tailgate decals, trim-specific black 17-inch wheels, and a gloss black grille treatment.

That’s a similar package to the one Jeep added to the Wrangler in 2020, though that SUV also includes heavy-duty brakes that aren’t mentioned in today’s Gladiator announcement.

Like other Gladiator models, the Willys comes standard with FCA’s Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine (285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque) or an optional 3.0L turbodiesel V6. Six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions and Command-Trac part-time 4x4 drive system.

The new Gladiator option package’s name is a callback to the Willys Overland CJ-3A of the late 1940s. It comes along in time to help Jeep keep attention focused on its showrooms as Ford gets set to roll out its mid-sized Bronco and compact Bronco Sport SUV models, both of which arrive as 2021 models.

The Jeep Gladiator Willys carries an MSRP of $50,745 and is in Jeep Canada’s showrooms and available to order now.
