Pricing for Refreshed 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Announced

Sep 29, 2021

Summary
Tiguan moves more upscale

The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan has been updated with more connectivity options, standard AWD, and a facelift that are all designed to help separate it from the smaller Taos. The more upscale Tiguan comes with a slightly higher price, starting from $32,995, set to arrive at dealers next month.

For that new price, an increase of $3,200 from last year, the Tiguan Trendline has dropped the front-wheel drive model and is now all-wheel drive only. New standard equipment includes Volkswagen's digital dashboard as standard and a heated steering wheel joins the heated front seats for cold-weather comfort. LED head and taillights are also standard.

The Comfortline trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with a larger 10.25-inch digital dashboard screen and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen. Wireless AppConnect adds wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and four years of Car-Net remote connectivity service. Leather seats and dual-zone climate control are included. The driver assistance suite adds adaptive cruise, lane keeping, and a highway driving assistant.

The R-Line Black Edition is new and adds R-Line bumpers and wheels along with a panoramic roof and 15-colour ambient lighting. At the top of the line is the Highline R-Line, which adds 20-inch wheels and a signature LED grille as well as adaptive lighting, park assist, 360-degree camera, a Fender audio system, ventilated front seats, and more.

The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan offers a 184-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A third row of seats is offered on all trim levels.
