2025 Honda Civic Si More Capable Than Ever Thanks to Stiffer Body

Honda is upping the performance ante with the 2025 Honda Civic Si. The recipient of a gentle refresh, the (moderately) spicy sedan gets performance improvements, updated design, and better tech inside.
The most important update for fans of the piquant performer will be the updates to the body. Lower B-pillar and rear door sill supports have increased the torsional and bending rigidity of the Civic Si. Together with the newly tuned suspension (a change made in consideration of the improved stiffness), the improvements should give the car more direct handling than ever in 2025.
Although the engine remains the same for the upcoming model year (a 1.5L turbo that makes 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque), the six-speed manual transmission has been improved to offer rev-matching on downshifts from second to first gear.
Speaking of improving performance, Honda says that the Civic Si’s infotainment system is better than ever thanks to the addition of Google built-in. This gives occupants access to Google Assistant, allowing them to text a friend, skip or pause songs, and set a new destination using only their voice.
Finally, the 2025 Civic Si benefits from mild design updates. A new hex-pattern grille sits within a refreshed front fascia, which is more aggressive than the current model. The taillights have also been darkened, and new V-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels finished in matte black have been added to make the car look sportier. Also new is the addition of Urban Gray Pearl to the car’s palette of colours.
Set to go on sale in Canada this August, the 2025 Civic Si starts at $37,816.25 (including destination charge and AC tax), and increase of $220.25 over the 2024 model.
