2025 Honda Accord Gets Small Price Hike, Gains New Trims
The 2025 Honda Accord is getting a rejigged trim lineup and the first trim level to get the boot in the upcoming model year is the entry-level EX.
In its place, consumers will be offered the similarly equipped SE trim. The biggest difference between it and the outgoing entry-level model is aesthetic. The new trim gets black 17-inch alloy wheels, black window trim, black door mirrors, a black antenna, and gloss black B-pillar trim, instead of the shinier metallic elements that were there in the previous model year.
Like the outgoing EX trim, the Accord SE will be powered by a turbocharged 1.5L engine that makes 192 horsepower (hp), 192 lb-ft of torque, and is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Inside, it gets the same infotainment setup as before, which comprises a 7-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch instrument screen behind the steering wheel, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The only other important difference between the SE and the EX is the price, which has increased by about $800 to $40,280 (all prices include a $1,830 freight charge and $100 A/C tax) for the coming model year.
The Sport trim has also been replaced for 2025 and, in its place, the Sport-L gets 19-inch alloy wheels, a 15W wireless smartphone charger, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as a 12.3-inch touchscreen that comes with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The Sport-L is powered by a hybrid powertrain, which is made up of a 2.0L, four-cylinder engine that benefits from electric assistance. All-in, these elements work together to make 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, while consuming 5.3L/100 km combined. Pricing for the 2025 Accord Sport-L opens at $45,005, roughly $1,500 more than the 2024 Accord Sport.
Finally, the range-topping Accord Touring remains unchanged for 2025, and its MSRP starts at $47,505, which is about $800 more than it did in 2024. It’s powered by the same hybrid powertrain as the Sport-L, and gets an infotainment system with Google Built-in, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 5G Wi-Fi Hotspot capability, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated leather front seats, and black 19-inch alloy wheels.
The 2025 Honda Accord is set to reach Canadian showrooms by the end of September.
