2025 Jeep Wrangler V6 Goes Manual-Only, Gladiator Goes Hybrid

Jeep is shaking up the powertrain options for the 2025 Wrangler and Gladiator, changing which vehicles it offers the manual transmission in. Unfortunately, the manual is disappearing from the options list for the 2025 Gladiator. The off-road-capable pickup truck’s V6 engine will exclusively be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Conversely, the six-speed standard has become mandatory for Wrangler buyers who want the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. The engine will be the standard offering for Wrangler buyers, while the plug-in hybrid 4xe model will continue to connect its 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine to an eight-speed automatic. For 2025, the PHEV powertrain will be extended to the Gladiator for the first time, as Jeep works to offer an electrified option for every vehicle in its lineup.

In addition, both models will be available with Active Cabin Ventilation, which allows an owner to turn on their HVAC system from their Jeep Connect mobile app and evacuate the hot air from the vehicle before they get in.

In addition, a new shade of green paint called ’41 will be added to the option list for both vehicles, which is inspired by the drab olive paint used by the military. The Gladiator also gets Fathom Blue paint for 2025. Finally, power locks and windows will now be standard across the entire Wrangler lineup for the upcoming model year.

Canadian prices for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator will be revealed at a later date.
