Toyota’s performance car lineup gets brighter and more fun.

Toyota has made some updates to its sports car lineup with two special editions for its GR86 and GR Supra.

The 2026 Toyota GR86 Yuzu screams in a bright shade of yellow, a throwback to its Scion FR-S predecessor’s first release special edition. This special edition is based on the GR86 Premium trim and adds 18-inch matte black wheels, black exterior accents, and a black interior with yellow contrast stitching and perforation on the seats. Beyond cosmetic enhancements, the GR86 Yuzu comes standard with the Performance Package that adds Brembo brakes, SACHS dampers, and a cat-back exhaust. An upgraded eight-speaker audio system and a unique body kit are also included.

The GR86 is powered by a 2.4L flat four-cylinder with 288 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, and the Yuzu replaces this year’s Hakone special edition. Pricing for the GR86 Yuzu will be announced later this year closer to its availability in fall 2025.

Continuing the fun news, Toyota has also announced the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition to cap off its fifth-generation run.

The GR Supra MkV Final Edition is based on the 3.0 Premium trim and will be available with either a manual or automatic transmission. Taking learnings from its participation in various motorsports series, Toyota says the GR Supra MkV Final Edition has been improved with larger Brembo brakes, increased body rigidity, suspension and chassis refinements for more stability and road feel, enhanced aerodynamics with a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler, and optimized differential and control map tuning to improve traction and cornering grip to reduce understeer. The steering has also been optimized to be more direct.

Visual upgrades include 19-inch matte black wheels, glossy carbon fibre spoiler and mirror caps, and red interior accents. Drivers can also opt for a new GT4-style upgrade package that adds two new matte paint colours, a GR side graphic, matte-finished carbon fibre for the spoiler, red mirror caps, and a matte black Supra emblem on the rear.

The Supra’s 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine outputs 382 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. The 2026 Supra will be available this spring, with production of the fifth-gen model ending in spring 2026. Pricing will be announced later.

Not to leave out its wicked GR Corolla from the fun, Toyota has also hinted that it will be refreshed with new fender vents, hood vents, a new rear spoiler, increased torque, enhanced aerodynamics, and updated tuning. More information will be revealed this fall.
