Summary
Only two trims will now be available in Canada for the 2026 Pathfinder.

Nissan unveiled a minor mid-cycle refresh for the Nissan Pathfinder, which brings some small updates and quality of life improvements to the 2026 model. The biggest change for the 2026 Pathfinder, though, is that Nissan has significantly reduced the number of trims on offer.

For 2026, only two trims will be available, Rock Creek and Platinum, meaning that the S,SV, SL, and the Captains Chairs trims will all be cut from the lineup next year. This change means that the Nissan Pathfinder’s starting price will likely be notably higher, with the Rock Creek trim now occupying the lowest spot in the Pathfinder lineup. Its starting price for 2025 is $53,198 as compared to $47,198 for the 2025 S trim, currently the most affordable version of the SUV on sale.

Consequently, the model will come with improved standard equipment. All 2026 Pathfinder models will come with a 12.3-inch touch screen display, which has standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a significant upgrade over the 8-inch and 9-inch screens previously available. The updated Pathfinder will also receive an update to its camera system, which will offer two new angles: a top-down view and a front wide view. An improved wireless smartphone charger, which Nissan claims will reduce overheating and increase charging speeds, will also come standard.

In addition to the trim lineup changes, Nissan has also made some minor changes to the Pathfinder’s exterior styling. Lights now replace the old chrome finish around the grille, to which a chrome bar has been added, and side intakes now finish the look. The result is a more pronounced front end for the SUV.

The Platinum trim receives a few exclusive updates, notably new 20-inch rims, a new seat quilting pattern, new wood tone trim, and the roof rails have been changed from silver to black.

The updated 2026 Pathfinder lineup will be available starting spring of 2026. Pricing information is expected at a later date.
