Summary
The RAV4 can no longer be had for less than $40,000, but every model is now hybrid.

Toyota Canada has finally revealed how much the sixth-generation RAV4 will cost and, just like seemingly everything else these days, prices are rising. The base version of the wildly popular crossover will cost in excess of $4,000 more in 2026 than it did in 2025. But it’s not all bad news.

Indeed, once all the non-negotiable fees are considered, the entry level 2026 RAV4 LE AWD will ring in at $41,158. By contrast, the most affordable version of the fifth-generation model cost just $36,762 last year (when all the same fees were accounted for). However, the good news is that new version should be cheaper to run.

Unlike in 2025, every example of the 2026 RAV4 will come with a hybrid powertrain, meaning that owners of the new LE AWD trim will be buying less fuel. Whereas the 2025 version burned through 7.9 L/100 km in combined driving, per Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Toyota estimates that the 2026 model will burn just 5.5 L/100 km, which is a pretty big difference.

The 2026 RAV4 LE AWD is even better on fuel than the 2025 LE AWD Hybrid, which NRCan rated at 6.0 L/100 km in combined driving. Moreover, when comparing apples to hybrid apples, the price hike between 2025 and 2026 is about half as steep.

Indeed, the previous generation 2025 RAV4 LE AWD Hybrid started at $39,756. That’s only a $1,402 difference as compared to the new model, which is a little easier to stomach, given the added efficiency, the new styling, and the generational improvements Toyota made with the new model.

As in 2025, Toyota will offer the 2026 RAV4 in the LE, XLE, Limited, and XSE trims. So far, the SE trim does not appear to be making a comeback in 2026, but buyers will now be offered the more rugged looking Woodland trim (pictured above) instead of the Trail trim. The RAV4 Woodland is the least efficient version in the lineup, consuming 6.2 L/100 km in combined driving, per Toyota.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 is set to arrive in Canadian showrooms later this month and every example sold in Canada will feature AWD.

2026 Toyota RAV4 Pricing:

Trim Price (including fees)
LE AWD $41,158
XLE AWD $44,958
XLE Premium AWD $47,458
Woodland AWD $50,658
Limited AWD $55,658
XSE AWD $54,558
XSE Technology AWD $56,108
