First Ride: 2015 Honda CBR300R

Apr 10, 2015

Summary
Capable starter bike for road and track riders.
Detailed Review

Honda’s 2015 CBR300R is a significant re-imagining of the popular CBR250R. When Kawasaki upped their 250cc engine to 300cc – giving it a corresponding 10 hp boost – Honda wasted little time reconfiguring their pocket-rocket CBR. While a long way from the ear-splitting, four-cylinder CBR250RRs of the early 1990s, the CBR300R continues the tradition of an entry-level sport bike for emerging riders.

Two days at Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah, Georgia aboard the 2015 Honda CBR300R proved its credentials as a comprehensive and capable starter bike for both street and track.
