Mercedes-Benz Recalls ML-Class SUVs to Fix Loose Rear Seatbelts

Improperly tightened fastener could break free in a crash

A small number of Mercedes-Benz ML-Class is under recall to fix rear seat belts that may not have been properly attached during vehicle assembly.

Sixty-six of the SUVs sold as 2015 have fasteners that weren't tightened properly and could separate if high loads are placed on the attachment, such as those that could occur in a crash.

Benz is instructing its dealers to inspect the seat belt fastener and repair it if necessary.
