A Good Old Fashioned Drag Race on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Oct 17, 2016

Summary
Flying Corvette versus blown Charger

Fans of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D have long loved Lola, Agent Phil Coulson's highly modified 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. Viewers of the current season have been eagerly awaiting the car's chance to show her stuff against the 1969 Dodge Charger of Robbie Reyes. It looks like the showdown will take place as a good old fashioned high speed chase on tomorrow night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Despite a stock appearance, Lola is no ordinary 'Vette. It has been restored and modified by Howard Stark. That means that it not just a car, but it can hover, and has flight capability. There are also flame throwers and a primitive GPS system. The car belonged to Coulson's father and is a prized possession, in addition to becoming a character in the show in its own right. Lola won't be flying in the race, which should make for a more fair fight. Well, as fair as TV will allow.

The supercharged Charger of Reyes, who also happens to be the Ghost Rider,  is new to the show. The all black paint and blower sticking out of the hood seems to channel the series of ever more powerful Chargers of the Fast and Furious franchise, but that's certainly not a bad look.

Take a look below at the sneak peak of tomorrow's episode.
