Video: Man Struck by SUV in Alleged Road Rage Incident

Road rage turns violent

It doesn't matter how it starts, but road rage can quickly escalate from horn honking to serious injuries. We aren't sure what exactly happened in the lead up to this dramatic video, taken earlier today, but we know how it ended. With one person waiting for an ambulance and another with the Police after them.

According to the video, there was a road rage incident. That incident lead to the Audi driver following another car from Grand Bay to the Forest Hills suburb of Saint John, NB. That's a 35 km drive. A long time to escalate a bad situation. We're not sure if the victim was the other driver, but it's still no excuse.

It's not clear what happened when they arrived the apartment complex in Saint John, but it's clear in the video that the driver of the Q7 turned around violently before accelerating hard while driving directly at, then striking the victim. You can hear someone on the phone with emergency dispatch at the time, and that the victim is asking for an ambulance. Fortunately, according to text in the clip, the victim suffered no broken bones, and the driver of the Audi was apprehended.

We've reached out to the poster of the video to try and make sure the man who was struck is ok, as well as to find out more about what happened. We'll update you when we learn more.
