Honda Gets Naked, Brings CB650F to Canada
Honda Canada is going naked, bringing their updated CB650F north of the border later this year.
The middleweight CB650F joins the full-fairing CBR650F that we've gotten for a few years, and tested previously. The CB650F loses bodywork but gains a new 649cc inline four. The lack of bodywork gives you a great look at the frame and the beautiful header running underneath. The engine makes 90 hp from those 649cc, and 47 lb-ft at 8,000 RPM. Up front is a new Showa dual bending valve fork with an adjustable shock. The head and tail lights are all LED bulbs.
The CB650F joins the returning CBR650F, which gets the same engine and suspension updates for the new model year.
Honda Canada motorcycle VP James Marchand says that the brand is "excited to offer this strong-performing, mid-size motorcycle into our line-up this year," and they say that it will be a "great-performing midsize street-fighter."
The 2018 Honda CB650F and CBR650F go on sale this August.
