Summary
Good Fit

Honda has priced its 2018 Fit, with updated styling and a new available Sport trim, with a $15,190 starting tag, a $140 increase over the outgoing model.

Sport trim is priced at $19,590 with a manual transmission, or $20,890 with CVT and Honda Sensing advanced safety systems.

Appearance-wise, the Sport trim brings the most significant changes in a front spoiler and rear diffuser, bright orange pin-striping, 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels with gloss-black finish, chrome exhaust-pipe finisher and side sill garnishes. Inside, the Sport features a black interior with orange contrast stitching.

Also new for 2018 is standard Honda Sensing active safety features in all models fitted with the optional continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), in a suite that includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system incorporating forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system and road departure mitigation with lane departure warning.

Unchanged is the Fit's 1.5L engine, with its 130 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque, standard with a six-speed manual transmission or optional CVT. Honda promises a quieter interior thanks to acoustic glass, more sound insulation and new transmission and steering mounts, while Honda says new suspension dampers contribute to a better ride.

The 2018 Honda Fit is on sale now.
