The fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade is getting a refresh for 2025 and that includes updated exterior lighting elements, a new front fascia, and a massive screen inside.
Many of the new elements were previously previewed in the all-electric Escalade IQ, and it seems that the automaker doesn't want the internal combustion version to lose pace with the upcoming EV. The biggest addition to the 2025 Escalade is the 55-inch screen that spans the width of the dashboard.
There's a 35-inch display that functions as the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and the infotainment screen in the middle, in addition to a 20-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger. Thanks to polarized glass, the passenger’s screen can be obscured from the driver, allowing the right-side occupant to stream content while the Escalade is in motion.
In addition, the driver gets a “Command Centre” lower down on the center console. From here, controls for things like the HVAC system can be reached without requiring the driver to lean forward.
The screen will also control a newly added feature: the power opening doors. The driver can open any passenger door at the touch of a button and, if they so choose, can also make the driver door open automatically as they approach the vehicle with the key on their person.
Buyers can also opt for the Executive Second Row package, which adds a stowable table, a rear command centre, 12.6-inch personal screens, massaging seats, and wireless phone charging pads for second-row passengers.
From a design standpoint, Cadillac is offering two new interior colour schemes for the 2025 Escalade: Renaissance Red in addition to Jet Black and Sheer Gray. The former offers a Mulan leather interior, quilted and perforated seats, and dark open-pore wood veneer with high-contrast filler. The latter provides Opus leather upholstery, quilted seats, heathered grey fabric accents, and high-gloss wood veneer.
Outside, the 2025 Escalade gets reworked lighting elements, a standard illuminated Cadillac crest, and, on the V-Series and Premium Luxury trims, an illuminated grille surround. Three new paint options have been added with the refresh, including Aegean Stone, a deep green-gray, Deep Sea Metallic, a rich metallic blue, and Latte Metallic, a light bronze.
New air inlets have also been added low down on the front fascia to feed the 6.2L V8 that powers it. In the standard model, the engine makes 420 horsepower, while in the V-Series trim, it’s supercharged to make 682 hp. While the diesel engine has been dropped due to low demand, Cadillac says that it is increasing production capacity for the V-Series and Sport trims due to their popularity with buyers.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is set to start in Arlington, Texas, later this year, with the first deliveries being made to customers before the end of the year in the U.S. Prices have not yet been revealed for the updated model.
