Limited Edition Porsche 911 Spirit 70 Features Hybrid Power, '70s Swagger

Summary
The first special edition hybrid 911 brings back the “Pasha” upholstery.

The first special edition Porsche 911 to use the brand’s new hybrid powertrain is the 911 Spirit 70, which brings vintage design and motorsport-inspired touches to drivers in a package inspired by the '70s. Limited to just 1,500 examples, the feature that will likely excite Porsche nerds the most is the "Pasha" interior.

Inspired by a waving checkered flag, the upholstery pattern features black squares of varying sizes against an Olive Neo background. The polarizing colour, unique to the Spirit 70 package, can also be found on the body, where it is contrasted by Bronzite highlights at the front and rear, and on the “Fuchs” design wheels.

In addition, the special edition model gets a black circle on the side where owners can place a number of their choosing, and three racing stripes each of which becomes one of the numbers in the model number (911) at the front of the car. The stripes are even continued on the tone-on-tone soft top.

To really put the cherry on top of the exterior, the 911 Spirit 70 features a special crest that is almost identical to the crest that could be seen on the front of the brand’s cars in 1963. At the back, the Porsche lettering is made especially brilliant thanks to galvanized gold-plating.

The final retro detail is inside the vehicle. There, the instruments in the digital cluster get white pointers and green digits — a design choice that harkens back to the dials in the legendary Porsche 356.

The Porsche 911 Spirit 70 is based on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet trim, which is powered by the brand’s new hybrid powertrain. The 3.6L engine combines with an electric motor in the transmission to make 532 hp and 449 lb-ft of torque.

Just the latest in a line of special edition retro 911s, the new model balances Porsche tradition with its latest technology, so the brand has also incorporated those qualities into the peripheral goodies that come with the car. First, the look back at the past is a unique wrist watch that features the Pasha pattern on the watch face and will only be offered to 911 Spirit 70 buyers. People who are interested in buying the car can first check it out using a futuristic virtual reality app developed specifically for Porsche for the Apple Vision Pro VR headset.

If they are convinced to buy the model, they can place an order immediately, with prices starting at $256,900.
