Ford’s wolf pack is forming, as another Lobo is set to join its lineup for the 2025 model year. The automaker gave us our first look at the larger entry into its fleet of street trucks, the 2025 F-150 Lobo.
The truck will be focused on on-road performance, and is therefore powered by Ford’s 5.0L V8, which will make 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque in this application. Power will be run to all four wheels using the automaker’s upgraded two-speed 4WD system and a 3.73 electronic locking rear axle. The Lobo will build on the STX trim and will exclusively be available in the SuperCrew body style with a 1.6-meter (5.5-foot) bed.
To improve the truck’s performance on the street (and to make it look more sinister), the F-150 Lobo’s suspension has been updated and lowered two inches. The truck will be able to tow up to 3,583 kg (7,900 lbs) and has a max payload capacity of 658 kg (1,450 lbs). To highlight its lowered appearance, the truck also gets a 10-piece body kit.

As part of the kit, the F-150 Lobo has a widened gloss black mesh lower grille and a unique upper grille with a light bar that stretches from headlight to headlight. Those lamps were updated to look more consistent with the Maverick Lobo.
In addition, the F-150 Lobo gets gloss black hood vents, twin exhaust tips, Lobo badges, and special 22-inch wheels. A cowl hood and upgraded taillamps help sell the truck’s sinister look.
The 2025 Ford F-150 Lobo will be available in five exterior paint colours: Agate Black Metallic, Atlas Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray, Oxford White, and Rapid Red Metallic.
Josh Blundo, the lead exterior designer on the F-150 Lobo, said in a statement that the truck has been built to integrate modifications that are often costly for owners who turn to the aftermarket. While he believes the truck will work well as a street truck as soon as it leaves the factory, the team behind it also wanted to make a platform on which owners could build.
Prices for the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo will start at $77,185 (including $2,595 destination fee) when it goes on sale in Canada this fall.
