Hyundai Canada has finally confirmed that the highest-performance version of the Elantra will be making its way into dealerships around the country later this year, and prices will start under $50,000.
First shown in November, the TCR Edition adds a variety of modifications inspired by the world of touring car racing (that’s what the TCR stands for) to the already quite spicy Hyundai Elantra N.
Those modifications include a swan neck spoiler that’s made of carbon fibre, 19-inch N TCR forged wheels, an N Performance steering wheel with a 12 o’clock marker that’s wrapped in suede-like Alcantara, and an N Performance brake system that features four-piston monoblock front calipers with two-piece front rotors.
In addition, there are a number aesthetic improvements, such as Performance Blue seatbelts in the front row, a TCR Edition trunk emblem and puddle lamp, as well as N Performance branded mats and door scuffs.

Power remains unenhanced over the standard Elantra N, and comes from a 2.0L turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that makes 276 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque. The engine can either be connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual transmission that features rev-matching technology to help make downshifts smoother.
Hyundai Canada will offer the Elantra N TCR Edition in four colours: Abyss Black, Atlas White, Cyber Grey, or Performance Blue.
The 2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition will be sold by order only, and is expected to reach the Canadian market around the new year. The performance sedan will have a starting price of $47,599 for the manual model, or $49,199 for the dual-clutch-equipped version.
